Tariff Information

There are 14 supply regions in Britain for electricity and there are different costs associated with the supply of each region. For that reason EquiPower has a different price for each region.

If you’d like to see a unit price, and Tariff Information Label (TIL) for your area, put your postcode in the calculator below.

Tariff Comparison Rate (TCR)

The Tariff Comparison Rate (TCR) provides a standard metric to compare tariffs that may be structured differently to get an idea of which provides the best value. It’s a similar idea to the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) designed to help people compare mortgages more easily.

The TCR is based on a typical usage of 3,200 kWh of electricity or 13,500 kWh of gas a year. It takes into account the unit rate, standing charge, VAT and any discounts you get. It is not based on your personal usage so usually it won’t necessarily show you the exact cost of a particular tariff and for this reason it should be used as a guide only. However, it provides a useful indicator to how deals compare.

Since Ebico’s EquiGas and EquiPower tariff has ZERO standing charge, no discounts and is based only on a single unit rate, the TCR for EquiGas and EquiPower is the same as the unit rate.
